THE WELCOME DINNER

THE DEVAGON CEREMONY

The Devgon is a Kashmiri pre-wedding ritual that marks the bride’s transition into married life. During this ceremony, elders bless the bride with sacred chants and rituals, invoking divine protection and prosperity for her forthcoming marriage.

THE TARANG

The Tarang is a symbolic pre-wedding ritual where the bride’s hair is braided into two parts—one representing Lord Shiva, the other Goddess Parvati. These braids are then joined into one, signifying the sacred union between the bride and groom. The ceremony concludes with the bride being draped in a traditional headscarf, marking the beginning of her new journey.
